MALDEN — License Committee approved 19 transportation petitions for City Council vote, including a new auto dealer on 90-day trial due to compliance concerns. Chair Jadeane Sica led the four-member committee (members Paul Condon, Karen Colón Hayes, and Ari Taylor) in unanimous votes on all petitions, ranging from taxi driver renewals to livery company licenses. Malden Auto Center LLC at 189 Eastern Avenue received conditional approval with Compliance Officer Jim Tuxbury reporting the new owner would address parking violations by other businesses in the lot and complete compliance work before a required check-in at the end of May.
