Malden Emergency Management Team reviewed summer preparedness and emergency response coordination during its July meeting. Cooling centers were activated at the Senior Center and Police Station in response to summer heat conditions, and Laura Vlasuk of Health and Human Services will take over CERT Team leadership. Director John Kelley will coordinate with the new DPW director on Emergency Management participation and departmental collaboration.
The team discussed proposed structural changes while maintaining regional partnerships with MEMA.
