Malden Cultural Council approved updated grant guidelines and priorities based on community survey input. The updated guidelines require grant applications to cover events in the calendar year following the application deadline and add new program categories.

Malden Cultural Council approved updated grant guidelines and priorities based on community survey input. The updated guidelines require grant applications to cover events in the calendar year following the application deadline and add new program categories. Chair Susan Tufts presided as James Genzale reported that the council has reimbursed approximately $15,000 of FY26 grants to date from the 38 awarded.
The council also reported successful growth in the second MACFest event, launched its first email newsletter to about 200 subscribers with a 25 percent open rate, and approved MaldenCulturalCouncil.org as the URL for its new website.
