Sign Design Review Committee · Meeting of June 11, 2026

MALDEN — The Sign Design Review Committee approved two sign applications and denied three. The Committee approved Markita Beauty and Route 99 Auto Collision; Markita Beauty's approval carried conditions requiring reduced window dimensions and sticker sizes. Mystic Valley Regional Charter School was denied because the building is in a Residence A zone prohibiting commercial signs.

Wing Stop's 58-square-foot proposed sign exceeded the 40-square-foot limit. Malden Cosmetic Dentistry was denied pending payment of approximately $1,300 in unpaid violation citations and removal of window stickers. The Committee also reviewed six other locations with unpermitted signage; property owners either removed signs voluntarily or received citations.
