MALDEN — Mystic Valley Development Commission elected new officers for remainder of FY26. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn was unanimously elected Chair, Mayor Robert Van Campen as Vice Chair, and Mayor Gary Christenson as Treasurer. The restructuring was necessitated by a mayoral transition in Everett that left the Treasurer position vacant so invoices received since January 2026 could be processed.
The Commission received a project update on 600 River's Edge, with representatives reporting that construction has resumed following closing of a new equity partner on March 31; the 224-unit project expects occupancy to begin in 18 to 21 months. The next meeting is scheduled for June 15, 2026, at 12 p.m.
