MALDEN — Cemetery trustees unanimously approved $45,000 from Perpetual Care funds to develop new burial sites. Superintendent Chris Rosa reported the cemetery was nearly out of burial plots and proposed developing a previously unsuitable section near the guardrail with sandy soil. The project would create two rows of graves: one entirely double-deep and the other a mix of double-deep and single burials.
Treasurer Dan Grover confirmed the Perpetual Care account could support the expansion.
