MALDEN — Cannabis Licensing and Enforcement Commission resolved an Open Meeting Law complaint by improving agenda transparency. The Massachusetts Attorney General would review further only if complainant Brian DeLacey requested by February 17, 2026. Chair Ron Hogan noted ambiguous ordinance language on cannabis license limits and sought Council clarification since October without receiving a response.
The Commission discussed federal reclassification of marijuana as less dangerous with possible tax benefits, and reviewed status of existing operations and pending license applications.
